Hyderabad Metro - System Design and Specification
ADC was commissioned by a client to undertake the turnkey system design and specification of the Hyderabad Metro. Hyderabad Metro with a total route length of 71.16 km and 66 stations, would run on three routes, including the Line 1 from Miyapur to L.B.Naga, Line 2 from Jubilee Bus stand to Falaknuma, Line 3 from Nagole to Shilparamam. The project estimated cost was Rs 9,696 crore. The Hyderabad Metro was on a design, build, finance, operate and transfer (DBFOT) basis.
ADC’s scope works involved the design and specification of the entire railway systems including Rolling Stock, Signalling, Telecommunications, AFC, SCADA, OCC, 25 kV AC Traction and OCS system, as well
as the establishment of the system integration, system assurance and interface management framework. With the DBFOT nature, the design of the systems was carefully planned and has been taken into account the key performance areas stipulated by the Concession Agreement, to achieve a fit-for-the-purpose system, in terms of CAPEX and OPEX.
